going bananas for beavertails

Beavertails, another iconic Canadian snack that even President Obama had to have on his visit to the country in 2009. He even got one named after him.

There’s nothing we can hate about this snack / dessert. Deep fried dough, crispy on the outside and supposedly shaped like a beaver’s tail, topped with slices of bananas and a slathering of nutella that was slowly liquefying from the heat of the fried dough. The classic no. 8 beavertail. It’s not saccharine sweet, and the bananas gave the illusion you picked the healthier option. Eat it indoors or take it to the nearest grassy area, either way we were happy as larry.
