ryoshi una ju nami

I went to Bali this month, stayed in the Kuta area for the most part. We met up with a friend of a friend who has been living in Bali for a while, so I got the insider's tip. She suggested dinner in Ryoshi, a Japanese restaurant near my hotel in Kuta Paradiso. She said the restaurant was better than most in the area and it was.

The restaurant was a bit hard to find if you're not looking for it. The place was quite clean, which sometimes can be hard to find in Indonesia for a good value restaurant such as this. The décor needs a bit of an update though. We came in early for dinner and beat the crowd, by the time we were finished the place was busy.

Una ju nami - Rp. 55,000 (~$6)

I ordered the una ju nami, grilled eel served on rice, it came standard with miso soup. It was quite decent. It wasn't mind blowingly good or anything. The eel wasn't too sweet and it was melt-in-my-mouth soft, the rice was also fluffy and done well. My dinner buddies also enjoyed their meals. All in all, it was a pleasant dinner.
