Early spring -- when the snow is still falling in some parts of Canada -- is probably not the right time to visit Butchart Gardens. Disappointment will be in store for anyone who expects fields of blossoming flowers.

I, on the other hand, knew full well that I’d get mostly browns and greens, but if I'm diligent enough some blooming flowers. I had to examined plants more closely and bowed down closer to the ground, and in turn I was rewarded with the colours I was hoping for.
