destiny crispy chicken with honey

Crispy chicken with honey black pepper - $8.99

We were in Vaughan looking at properties and we got so carried away that we forgot to have lunch. Initially we wanted to go to Chako Barbecue Izakaya and have a big all-you-can-eat feed, but when we got there it was already 2.30pm (their lunch service stops at 3pm). So, we ended up next door at Destiny Asian Fusion.

chicken with worchestershire sauce

After a few weeks of sabbatical (having no internet at home is a pain in the you-know-what), I finally got the time to go to a wi-fi hotspot that has the s-l-o-w-e-s-t internet connection ever, it is free after all. So here it is, my posting, a recipe for chicken drumsticks with Worchestershire sauce.

I am not sure where the recipe for chicken with Worchestershire sauce (ayam saos inggris) is originated from. But it was probably of Dutch / British origin modified into the Indonesian taste and sensibility. We never have this at my house, I was introduced to it by my cousin and loved it. He cooks it better than me somewhow, but I do try my best. Practice makes perfect is what they say.

classic pork roast with crispy skinned potatoes

As with yesterday's post, this is one of those long overdue recipes that I've been meaning to make. I mean what can be more classic than a roast, right?

I got the base recipe from the internet, which turned out to be adapted from the infamous Joy of Cooking cookbook published by Irma S. Rombauer in 1931, which I then further modified to my liking. I truly believe that, with a collection of everybody's brilliant mind, we can do just about anything.

I had so much fun making this, but I did make a few mistakes. So I have made a few changes in this recipe to fix that.

caramel croissant pudding

This is another Nigella Lawson's genius recipe. I introduced my older sister to Nigella and she loves her even more than I do. She makes this recipe about once a month. I love this recipe as much as her, but because she makes it at home, I never felt like doing it myself. But finally, I got the chance to make it this month.

I found that making just one of the below recipe is sooooo unsatisfying! I always double the recipe, put the leftover in the fridge and reheat in the microwave when I want to get a hit.

charles inn dining room english style breakfast

The morning after our intimate civil ceremony, we had breakfast at the Charles Inn Dining Room. As a guest in the inn, we received the standard complimentary breakfast, which included bagels, cerals, etc. Every guests were also served a breakfast platter, which had yummy strawberry muesli yoghurt, cuts of cheeses, croissant & pain au chocolat, and smoked salmon with capers. All very yummy and got my taste buds going.
